Heiden’s Late Spark Falls Short
Sophomore Ava Heiden led Iowa’s offensive effort with 19 points, all scored in the second half. Heiden went 7-for-12 from the field with three rebounds and one assist, providing a strong comeback attempt that briefly threatened UCLA’s lead. Despite her dominance down the stretch, the Hawkeyes couldn’t overcome the Bruins’ early control and defensive suffocation.
A Battle of Runs and Halves

Sophomore Chit-Chat Wright led Iowa’s first-quarter effort with five points, one rebound, and an assist.
