President Trump sported a custom “happy Trump” lapel pin at the White House Friday, displaying the playful accessory during a meeting with nearly two dozen oil and gas executives in the East Room.
The cartoon-style pin, which depicts Trump in a navy suit and red tie, sat beneath his customary American flag lapel pin. When Fox News Senior White House Correspondent Peter Doocy asked about the unusual accessory, Trump explained it was a gift.
“Somebody gave me this. You know what that is? That’s called a ‘happy Trump,'” Trump said, holding up the trump pin for cameras. “And consider the fact that I’m never happy. I’m never satisfied. I will never be satisfied until we make America great again. But we’re getting pretty close.”

Attendees included executives from Chevron, Exxon Mobil, ConocoPhillips, Continental, Halliburton, Valero, Marathon, Shell, Repsol, Eni, and other major energy firms. Vice President JD Vance, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Secretary of Energy Chris Wright, and Secretary of the Interior Doug Burgess also attended the meeting to discuss potential oil sector involvement in the South American nation.
