Chiefs WR Accused of Years of Abuse by Ex-Girlfriend
Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Rashee Rice has been accused of domestic abuse by his ex-girlfriend, Dacoda Nichole, in a detailed Instagram post published Wednesday. Nichole, with whom Rice shares two sons, alleged years of physical abuse, controlling behavior, and financial neglect spanning their eight-year relationship.
Detailed Allegations Surface on Social Media
In her Instagram post, Nichole shared photos showing bruising and injuries to her lips, face, and legs. She alleged that Rice engaged in physical abuse while she was pregnant, broke into her home, destroyed her personal belongings, and locked her outside overnight in 10-degree weather after catching him cheating.
“I’ve dealt with abuse for years,” Nichole wrote in her caption. “Me and this man decided to break up a couple months ago and since then it’s been nothing but hell.”
Pattern of Allegations and Financial Claims
Nichole further claimed Rice has been unfaithful multiple times and does not adequately support their two sons. She alleged he left the family in Kansas without financial support and that she had to beg him for money to relocate to Texas.
“He’s now trying to remove me and my kids from our home for no apparent reason,” Nichole stated. “He tries to put on this persona like he’s dad of the year. He does the bare minimum and I have to beg for that.”
Rice’s History of Off-Field Issues
The allegations mark the latest controversy for Rice since being drafted by the Chiefs in the second round of the 2023 NFL draft. Last year, Rice was suspended for six games following his involvement in a multi-vehicle crash. A social media influencer, Nichole emphasized in her post that she has protected Rice’s public image for years and is now prioritizing her own well-being and that of her children.
Rice has not publicly responded to the allegations.
