Hardy Boyz Tease More WWE Moments Coming in 2026
The legendary tag team is in constant negotiations with WWE about additional appearances while maintaining their primary focus on TNA Wrestling, Matt Hardy revealed in recent comments.
Balancing Both Companies
Matt and Jeff Hardy have confirmed they’re actively discussing future projects with WWE, even as they remain committed to TNA as their home promotion. The brothers, who currently hold the TNA World Tag Team Championships, emphasized the importance of staying with TNA rather than returning to WWE on a full-time basis.
"We’re in constant negotiations with WWE about doing some more stuff," Matt Hardy said in an interview with Metro. "We will do more with them. It was very important to us to stay at TNA as opposed to becoming a WWE full-time act again. In TNA, we’re going to be put in a position to succeed, and we can contribute, and we can help the company grow and be better."
Positive Relationship With WWE Leadership
Hardy praised the working relationship between the legendary tag team and WWE management, highlighting interactions with prominent figures in the company. "The relationship with WWE has been great. Anytime we’ve interacted with Shawn Michaels, he was absolutely awesome – Triple H, whoever, we’ve got along with everybody really good," he stated.
The veteran wrestler teased fans about what lies ahead: "I think you’re going to see some more cool Hardy Boyz moments in WWE before it’s all said and done in 2026."
Recent WWE History and Jeff’s Recovery
The Hardys last appeared on WWE programming in October at Halloween Havoc, where they lost the NXT Tag Team Championship to DarkState. During that match, Jeff Hardy suffered a neck injury involving bulging discs.
Jeff Hardy has been working with the TNA medical team to manage the injury naturally rather than pursue surgery. He recently competed in a singles match against Mustafa Ali late last month, showing his determination to remain active despite the setback.
Legacy of Surprise Returns
The possibility of more Hardy Boyz moments resonates with their fanbase, particularly following their surprise return to WWE at WrestleMania 33 in 2017—a moment Jeff has called his career highlight. The brothers have expressed openness to creating another memorable surprise for WWE audiences, with discussions ongoing about timing and format for future appearances.
