Miley Cyrus has officially confirmed that the Hannah Montana 20th anniversary special will premiere on Disney+ on March 24, 2026, marking exactly two decades since the iconic Disney Channel series debuted and launched the career of one of pop culture’s biggest stars.[1][2]
The announcement came on February 17 when Cyrus shared a teaser video across her social media channels featuring a black-and-gold stiletto pump stepping out of a vintage Mustang with an ‘HM’ license plate, building anticipation for the nostalgia-fueled celebration.[1]
What to Expect from the Special
The special will be filmed in front of a live studio audience and feature an exclusive, in-depth interview with Cyrus hosted by Alex Cooper, host of the popular podcast Call Her Daddy.[1][2] This marks the second time Cooper has sat down with Cyrus for an interview, following an appearance in 2020.[1]
Viewers can expect never-before-seen archival footage alongside rebuilt versions of the show’s most iconic sets, including the Stewart family living room and Hannah’s legendary rotating closet.[1][2] Disney has also hinted that musical performances will be part of the celebration, with the streamer noting ‘there will also be some familiar notes that find their way back into the spotlight.'[1][2]
