Real Madrid, despite being without Kylian Mbappé, managed to overcome Atlético Madrid to reach the super copa de espana final. The Madrid club’s resilience was on display as Valverde opened the scoring early before Rodrygo extended the lead. Even as Sorloth pulled one back for Atlético, Real Madrid held firm to secure its place in the championship match.
A Historical Rivalry on Spanish Soccer’s Biggest National Stage
This marks another chapter in one of soccer’s most storied rivalries, with El Clásico taking center stage for the final supercopa de españa trophy. Barcelona enters as the reigning champion after defeating Real Madrid in last year’s final, looking to cement its status as the tournament’s dominant force under manager Hansi Flick.
The winner of Sunday’s match will claim the first major trophy of the Spanish soccer calendar, providing momentum heading into the remainder of the domestic season.
